THE POSITION
In order to support our 5-year growth strategy, we have a requirement for a talented Regional Business Development Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager, and functionally to the Head of Business Development, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing suitable drilling and engineering opportunities consistent with the Company's corporate strategy.
With over 50 years experience in the region, KCA DEUTAG has plans for further expansion, in particular North and West Africa. The successful candidate will preferably be resident in the UK and willing to carry out extensive travel throughout the region. The person should be fluent in the English language and the ability to communicate in one or more other languages at business level (e.g. French, Arabic, and Portuguese) would be a distinct advantage.
The Business Development Manager will lead and participate in the implementation and development of the Company's business development strategy. The person will, through client contracts and networking, be required to acquire market information, report on potential opportunities, make new contacts and further develop existing client relationships.
The person will be able to display proven achievements in identifying, quantifying and winning new business in a highly competitive market, with a strong commitment to exceed targets.
An analytical and highly organised individual, the Business Development Manager should be able to demonstrate a successful track record in.
Managing client relationships at a senior level in both national oil companies and international oil companies
Preparation of prequalification and tender enquiries
Preparation of strategy and business case documents
Active participation in energy related conferences and exhibition events
